Abstract (EN)

In this post-truth period, the meaning of news and truth has changed. Now everyone has started to create their own reality. This situation also affected the news and revealed that we need to rethink the importance of truth. Recently, fake news has increased. This has become the most important issue discussed both in Turkey and other countries. We have entered the post-truth era, where the truth becomes worthless with the distortion of facts. In this period, new media tools cause fake news to be shared faster and reach larger audiences. This situation causes an increase in fake information in new media. Fake news produced almost every day has been circulated on social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Reddit and Instagram. Many users believed these news without examining their accuracy, causing fake news to spread rapidly on their accounts. Within the scope of this study, the number of shares of fake news circulating on news sites on the social media platform will be revealed using the social media analysis tool called "BuzzSumo". Fake news shared during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will be analyzed using the case study method through the Anadolu Agency's Verification Line verification platform. The study will include the allegations regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that started on October 7, 2023, and the interactions between readers.
