Transcription and review of Halit Ziya Uşakligil's work named Latin History of Literature

The aim of this thesis is to survey the work called Latin Tarih-i Edebiyatı, wich consists of the lecture notes on the history of Latin literature mentioned by Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil during the Western literature courses that he gave Darülfünun. Latin Tarih-i Edebiyatı is also important in Turkish Literature in terms of generating a literature about Latin literature. In addition to the transcription of the work, our study also includes Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil's relationship with Western literature and her works on Western literature. Moreover, this survey is important with regard to understanding the author's perspective on Latin literature, since it reflects the author's views on it.
