The antagonist behaviours of heroes in Halit Ziya Uşakligil's novels

Antagonism, also expressed as disharmony and dissonance has been taken up as one of the most powerful features that distinguishes man from other creatures in the history of thought. Since its existence science, art, technology, medicine, philosophy, literatüre and in other countless fielsds human being owes all the acquisition to antagonism. Human being that turns into ceature of possibilities by means of antagonist behaviours, has never been satisified wit himself and his condition because of being creature of wisdom and natüre and also preserved his state of being misfit. Human being has conflicted with both himself and society when surrounded by high values such as love, hate, wisdom, honesty, lying, innocence, purity, friendship, justice, lack of confidence, trust, respect, honour, good-evil; features of self interest such as suspicion, envy, jealousy, injustice, social values such as traditions, manners, social etiquettes, fashion and pleasure. This conflict reflects heroes' and heroines' behaviours peculiar to its rules and reality. According to the philosophical researhes firstly antagonism has been defined then in Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil's ,one of best authors ever, novels heroes and heroines' behaviours have been studied within the context.
