Abstract (EN)

Analysis of folk dances in terms of musical and traditional apparel: Afyonkarahisar Example named study is the first postgraduate thesis which mentions Afyonkarahisar city centre. In this study which is about Afyonkarahisar region folk dances and its musical and traditional apparel factors, in the first stage condition determining afterwards relation seeking approach has been revealed. In this context; primarily topic title has been specified and to make the study more functional, it has been limited with Afyonkarahisar city centre and its centralised settlements. In this study scanning pattern has been taken as an example and prior knowledge about topic has been acquired by scanning the resources which closely related to the topic and revealed by other researchers before. By going to the specified settlements; datas, obtained by applying the field research method and the systematic observation that related to the field reserach method and qualitative negotiation techniques, has been visually-aurally recorded and findings has been attained. The most remarkable one among the findings is that there hasn't been any systematic study about putting the traditional apparel, melodic and rhythmic factors on paper and analysing these factors. Starting from this point; "Which datas are attained when Afyonkarahisar region's traditional folk dances and apparel and music that accompanies these dances are analysed ?" has been the question of the research and to transfer these datas by saving to the next generations without destruction has been the purpose of this research. As there hasn't been any factual and systematic study about the topic of the research before, this postgradeuate thesis has been predicted being resource to other later studies in this region. Key Words: Afyonkarahisar, Folk Dances, Music, Traditional Apparel
