Glossary of Hamamizade Mehmet İhsan's Divan [Concordance and functional glossary]

Contextual Index and Functional Glossary of History and Literature Texts (TEBDİZ) Project was launched in 2015 under the leadership of Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Aksoyak. TEBDİZ project, developed within Gazi University, aims to prepare a contextual glossary by evaluating the words in the classical Turkish literature works within the context of text. With this project, the vocabulary of the classical Turkish literature texts is determined and the meaning layers in the texts are understood. XIX. The Ottoman Empire, which started to live its last moments in the century, started to seek various remedies to survive. Innovation movements have been resorted to in most areas for the survival of the state. Movements of innovation have also shown themselves in literature. The innovations did not benefit classical poetry and caused it to end over time. Born in such a period, Hâmâmîzâde İhsan wrote poems in the classical Turkish poetry tradition. In this study, the world of vocabulary and meaning was put forth within the scope of the TEBDİZ project of the Hamâmîzâde İhsan's Divan, prepared by Mustafa İsen and Rıdvan Canım, with the initiative of the Trabzon Cultural Directorate. In addition to the vocabulary, the literary personality, style and works of Hamâmîzâde İhsan are also included in the study. The vocabulary of the Divan is determined and interpreted within the context. Thus, the multi-layered poetry world of Hamâmîzâde is tried to be enlightened.
