Hâmit Zübeyr Koşay's life and folklore studies

Hâmit Zübeyr Koşay has done researches in various disciplines, especially in the first years of the republic, in various disciplines, and has made important works in all these fields when he defined them as sources. In this study, Hâmit Zübeyr Koşay's works related to popular science, opinions and suggestions in the name of folklore were examined as being a multi-faceted writer and awarded the Best Folk Scientist prize by the Ministry of Culture for his services. This study is composed of four chapters and in the first part, Hâmit Zübeyr's life, literary personality, academic direction are listed in detail. In the second part, various articles written about Kosoy, which is written about the book, article, examination, research, introduction, translations, and Kosay. In the third chapter, his thoughts, opinions and suggestions about his folk art are mentioned. In the last part, books by Hâmit Zübeyr Koşay were introduced and these works were evaluated in the context of folklore.
