Hamzaname: Text and index (Volume 14)

In this thesis, the 14th volume of Hamzanâme in Yapı Kredi Sermet Çifter Library, which was written by Hamzavî and reflecting the Old Anatolian Turkish Language's vocabulary and grammer features, has been translated. This thesis consists of a transcription and analytical index of the text. The goal of this study is to read the text correctly and make the analytical index, thus to gain another volume of Hamzanâme, which is very important for our literature, to our contemporary Turkish language. By means of this thesis the position and importance of Hamzanâmes in our literature are being determined. Because this text was rewritten in 19th century, it is seen that the fonetical features of Old Anatolian Turkish disappear. The mistakes those the writer had made caused some dual writing.
