Hamzanâme: Text-index (158b-250b)

ABSTRACT This study is basically on Hamzanâme, written in the 14th century Old Anatolian Turkish. This master, thesis consists of a transcription and an analytical index of the text. The main goal of this study is to provide a correct transcription and an analytical index. The text that we studied has some differences compared with the other texts written in the same period. The mistakes seen on vocalisation and inscription reveal that the transcriber was not efficient. Our text, an 18th century copy of the original, reveals the fact that the phonetic features of the Old Anatolian Turkish have been gradually lost in time.
