Hamzavi's İskender-i Zü'l-Karneyn-nama (18. Vol) (Introduction-examination-text-index)

He work in question is in the Berlin State Library, Ms. Or. Quart 631 in the Berlin State Library. The research is based on the translation of the manuscript into transliteration marks, language analysis and vocabulary. The study consists of five main headings as "Introduction, Analysis of the Text, Text, Conclusion, Index". The manuscript subject to the study is an Iskendernâme belonging to Hamzavî. The text, which is missing one leaf from the beginning, is dated on the cover of the work that it was written in the 18th century. It is obvious that this date is the date of the manuscript's being copied by the detensihs. Although the manuscript was copied in the 18th century, it has more Old Anatolian Turkish language features than Classical Ottoman Turkish, and traces of Old Turkish are also seen in the work. The general scope of the study can be summarized as identifying the author and positioning the work within the Turkish language, transferring the manuscript, which was originally in Arabic script, to transliteration marks, and examining its vocabulary and language features. In the Introduction section of the study; "The subject, importance, purpose, material and method of the study, academic studies on the subject (doctoral and master's theses, books, book chapters, encyclopedia articles, articles), works written in the genre of Iskendernâme; Iskendernâmes in Arabic Literature, Iskendernâmes in Persian Literature, Iskendernâmes in Turkish Literature, General Information About Hazâ İskender-i Zü'l-Karneyn-nâme, Features of the Manuscript, Printer's Record, Date of Writing and Author". In the section on the Analysis of Language Features; "Spelling Features, Language Features and Vocabulary" titles are included. In the third section of the thesis, under the title "Text"; there is the translated version of the manuscript. The fourth chapter includes the "Conclusion" part of the study. The fifth chapter consists of "Index (Grammatical Index, Index of Proper Names)". In this section, a dictionary of the text is created and all the details of the manuscript are included. As a result of the study, it was determined that the author was Hamzavī. Thus, it is understood that the text subject to the study is the eighteenth volume of the author's 24-volume Iskendernâme (Kitab-ı İskender). The manuscript has been copied by two annotators.
