Abstract (EN)
In this research, it is aimed to examine the "Effect of Movement Education on Preschool Children's Visual Perception Levels". The research was carried out with the participation of 90 children from 2 kindergartens affiliated to Afyonkarahisar Central Provincial Directorate of National Education. The research application group (27 females, 18 males) consists of 45 children, and the control group (28 females, 17 males) comprised of 45 children in total. A movement training program was applied to the application group for 6 weeks, 1 day a week for 90 minutes. Physical measurements (height, body weight, body mass index) and frostig developmental visual perception test were applied to both groups before and after the study. In the study, normality analysis was performed with the shapiro-wilk test, and the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, one of the non-parametric tests, was applied. As a result of the study, there was a significant difference between the movement training group and the control group pre-test post-test (p <0.05 p <0.01), while no difference was found between the groups (p> 0.05). It was observed that the shape stability and position perception levels of the movement training group differed significantly from the con-trol group (p <0.01). As a result, it was observed that 1 hour of movement training practice time in kindergartens was insufficient on visual perception levels. It is recommended to increase movement activities more in children in this age group.
