Abstract (EN)

Experience is one of the prominent concepts in the use of health services. Experience, which is closely related to the concept of consumption, is closely related to quality and satisfaction in health services. Patient experience includes the health plans that patients start before applying to a health institution to receive health services, the practices of health professionals, and the interaction with the health system, which includes the services provided by the health institution. Patient experience is a process that takes into account the evaluation of patient satisfaction as well as the evaluation of the service quality and performance of the health institution. Today, the performance and quality perceptions of health institutions have begun to go beyond examining the provision of ideal health care alone and to see and adopt patient experience as an important indicator. In this direction, patient experience is considered to be an important issue in health services. On the other hand, it is expected that patients receiving treatment in foreign countries will encounter cultural differences. If these differences are perceived negatively, it is likely to cause patient dissatisfaction, treatment non-compliance, and negative health outcomes. Indeed, it is assumed that the cultural differences in health services perceived by foreign patients will affect the patient experience. In this direction, the aim of the study is to determine whether cultural differences will lead to a change in patient experience. The universe of the study consists of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who receive health services in Turkey and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who receive health services in Kazakhstan. The aim is to reach 300 citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who receive health services in Turkey and 300 citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who receive health services in Kazakhstan using the convenience sampling method. A survey form will be used as a data collection tool in the study. The survey form will be prepared based on the "Socio-Demographic Information Form" and the "Picker Patient Experience Scale". Descriptive statistical methods and difference analyses will be used in the analysis of the data to be obtained as a result of the survey. In addition to evaluating patient experience, this study aims to determine whether patient experience differs between patients receiving health services in Turkey and Kazakhstan and to reach conclusions regarding patient experience for health institutions and the health system in Kazakhstan.
