Abstract (EN)
The concept of conflict that is seen often and prevents organizations to reach theirgoals because of mismanagement has a special importance. Hospitals that have aresponsibility of serving the society can not be insensitive toward the concept of conflict.Conflict is unavoidable between departments and individuals in hospitals with thematrix organizational structure while they are serving. One of the reasons for this is that loweducated administrative staff and highly educated and specialized doctors and other personnelhave to work together.In this research, the conflict between doctors and nurses has been studied in AKUHospital.The concept of organizational conflict, types and sources are mentioned in the firstsection of the study.Organizational structures of hospitals and university hospitals, their problems andsolution methods are given in the second section of the study.In the third section of the study, data sets gathered from questionnaires filled out bydoctors and nurses in the AKU Hospital is analyzed and sources of conflict between doctorsand nurses have been given. At the same time, behaviors of employees after the conflict andresults towards conflict resolution and proposals are given.In the conclusion, the results of conflict between doctors and nurses and solutions tothis problem are discussed.
