Determination of the finance methods used by foreign trade companies operating in Hatay province

This study was carried out to determine the level of perception of companies operating in the field of foreign trade in Hatay province regarding foreign trade financing methods. This study was carried out by reviewing the literature and statistically interpreting the data obtained by using the survey method with the companies that carry out foreign trade activities in Hatay. The universe of the research is the companies registered and registered in the province of Hatay, which carry out foreign trade activities in the same province. 297 companies that carry out foreign trade activities in different sectors in Hatay province participated in the research. The questionnaires consisted of five parts and a total of 86 questions using multiple choice and likert scales. As a result of the research, in the foreign trade financing of the enterprises, cash payments with a rate of 79.8%, equitie/company own resources with a rate of 74.1%, bank credits with a rate of 74.1%, a letter of credit payment with a rate of 71%, government incentives with a rate of 65% and a 63% rate and buyer loans, and Turk Eximbank loans with a rate of 60.3%, on the other hand, they did not use the clearing method at all. The most important factor determining the level of perception regarding the use of foreign trade financing methods is the education level of employees and managers.
