Abstract (EN)
Master Thesis, İstanbul This study was carried out in a way that shows the plants that the people use medically in Hatay province, by which local names these plants are named, what the plant is for, and how they use it. All districts of Hatay, except Antakya, Kumlu and Reyhanlı districts, were visited in April - August 2019. In addition, 21 villages and 5 plateaus of Hatay were visited. A survey was conducted with one-on-one interviews with a total of 207 people. Interviews with village guards, shepherds, hunters and village midwives. Plant samples were collected from these interviews, herbarium was made. As a result, 146 plants belonging to 63 families stated that taxa will be examined by the people of Hatay. Olea europaea L. (olive), Allium cepa L. (onion), Allium sativum L. (Garlic), Citrus lemon L. (lemon), Hypericum perforatum L. and Hypericum triquetrifolium Turra and Laurus nobilis L. (laurel). Oleaceae, Amaryllidaceae, Rutaceae, Hypericaceae were the most common plants used by the population. İt was determined that Rosaceae (8%), Lamiaceae (7%), Asteraceae (6%), Solanaecae (5%), Cucurbitaceae (4%) were the families commonly used in terms of families.
