Abstract (EN)

This study aims to reveal the effect of memorable gastronomy experience on tourists' intention to revisit the destination and the mediating effect of destination satisfaction and the moderating effect of local cuisine attractiveness. For this purpose, a questionnaire was used as a quantitative data collection technique. Data were collected online from 413 domestic tourists who visited Gaziantep between July and September 2023 and volunteered to participate in the study. The relationships between the variables in the research model were analyzed by structural equation modeling technique with the help of SmartPLS 4 program. In line with the analysis, it was concluded that memorable gastronomy experience has a positive effect on tourists' intention to revisit the destination and destination satisfaction has a partial mediating effect. In addition, while it was determined that local cuisine attractiveness has a moderating effect on the relationship between memorable gastronomy experience and destination satisfaction, it was determined that local cuisine attractiveness does not have a moderating effect on the relationship between destination satisfaction and intention to revisit.
