Abstract (EN)

In air traffic control services, there are communication problems between controllers and pilots from time to time, and communication problems cause various errors. In this study, communication procedures in air traffic control services are examined, the main communication problems between air traffic controllers and pilots are mentioned and information is given about the effects of these problems. The aim of this study is to examine the communication problems between the controllers and the pilots, to evaluate the use of CPDLC (Controller-Pilot Data Link Communication), which is a system that can be used to prevent or reduce the errors that occur as a result of communication problems, and to investigate the perspectives of air traffic controllers who are working in Turkey. In this study, the survey technique related to quantitative methods was preferred in order to collect data. Data about the demographic structures of the participants, the communication problems they had experienced before, their encounter with an incident due to these problems, and finally their perspectives on the CPDLC system were collected with a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed with SPSS and statistical methods.
