Abstract (EN)

In recent years, in parallel with the increasing air traffic and the number of passengers in air transport, the number of people exposed to aircraft-induced noise has increased significantly. Aircraft noise emissions from the past have become one of the important research topics in environmental management in aviation. It is observed that engine manufacturers made significant improvements in noise in the production of new generation aircraft engines in order to prevent noise emission caused by aircraft (especially during landing, take-off, taxi and ground operations) in the regions close to the airports. It is observed that many of the existing airports in our country and in the world are mostly located near city centers and dense settlements. The fact that the airport locations remain in the city with the growth of the cities has brought the number of people exposed to noise to increase day by day. The negative effects of noise effects around airports and settlements, directly or indirectly, on people such as sleep disturbance, lack of concentration, anxiety and high blood pressure heart problems. For this reason, examining the noise effect caused by aircraft and determining the necessary measures to be taken is very important for the sustainable development of aviation. In this thesis, a sustainable acoustic noise management model has been developed for airports. Within the scope of the model, according to ECAC Doc 29 with IMMI Software, the aircraft noise mapping study of Eskişehir Hasan Polatkan Airport was carried out by the engineering calculation method. In addition, experimental measurements of the noise emissions generated by CESSNA 172-S Aircraft with piston-prop engine type operating in Eskişehir Hasan Polatkan Airport under different operating conditions and technical analyses were conducted. In addition, defining noise sources at Eskişehir Hasan Polatkan Airport, creating noise impact indices, creating noise maps and defining target parameters have been concluded with technical analysis in accordance with the relevant standards and measurement methodology framework.
