Abstract (EN)

Continuously evolving causes rigid competition among rivals nowadays. In this competition environment, airlines not only have to reduce their costs but also have to increase customer satisfaction in order to survive. Cabin crew are the customer representatives of the the airline componies who affect airlines' customer satisfaction and accordingly airlines' sustainability with respect to their business performance. In airline industry, harmony and cooperation among cabin crew could only be obtained with teamwork. Therefore having employees whose team work abilities are high makes an airline compony advantegous among rivals. Furthermore, cabin crews' high level of job satisfaction will result in an increase of their service level which determines the choice of airline company. In this context, the aim of this research is to find out the relation between job satisfaction and teamwork of the cabin crew who work under intensive business environment and restrouined time zones. In addition, this study also aims to determine the differences of teamwork and job satisfaction levels. A survey has been applied to 304 cabin crew of an İstanbul based airline in order to identify the relation between teamwork and jaob satisfaction. The survey data has been analyzed with SPSS 22.0 (Statiscal Package for Social Sciences) for Windows version and analysis results has been interpreted. A strong relationship between teamwork and job satisfaction has been determined as a result of this research.
