Havza dialect

This study was the result of researching and detecting the dialect characteristics of the local people living in Havza district and its settlements in 2021. One of the important language areas of Turkey- Turkish is dialects. Many studies have been conducted on various aspects of these in Turkey and around the world. It is known that there are still dialect areas within the borders of the Republic of Turkey that are undeveloped and have not been scientifically studied. Nowadays, it is seen that dialect features are gradually disappearing as the place of mass media in our lives increases. For this reason, it is necessary to study areas that have not yet been studied using scientific methods. Although there are a considerable number of studies on Turkey- Turkish dialects, there are gaps and deficiencies. Creating a complete and comprehensive language atlas of Turkey- Turkish also depends on the completion of dialect studies. Havza district of Samsun province is very important in terms of its historical and geographical location. Havza, which played a key role in the Turkification of Anatolia and is known as one of the geographies where the foundations of the War of Independence were laid, is an important geographical settlement for these historical reasons. In this context, Havza Dialect has linguistic features worth examining among Turkey Turkish dialects. Determining these features will also reveal the dialect features, which are important features of the district. This study, called Havza Dialect, consists of the "Introduction" section, which includes the subject and scope of the study, the history, geography and ethnic structure of the region, and the "Review" (Phonology, Morphology), "Texts" and "Dictionary" sections.
