Abstract (EN)

In this study, the cultural dimension of Turkey - Azerbaijan relations in the Haydar Aliyev period ( 1993 - 2003 ) has been examined. While preparing my thesis, I have benefited from archive documents containing information about Haydar Aliyev, works, documents, magazine, articles, master's theses about cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. My thesis consists of three parts apart from the introduction and conclusion parts. In the introduction part, the aim of the thesis, its general framework, information about its departments, in the first part, general information about culture and education, in the other parts, not only the history of Azerbaijan and Turkey - Azerbaijan relations in general, but also the existing information about culture and education between Azerbaijan and Turkey during the Heydar Aliyev period relations and relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the recent historical period, in the period of İlham Aliyev. Azerbaijan - Turkey relations based on the same ethnic origin have historically been carried out within the framework of friendship and brotherhood. The development process of Azerbaijan has a very important place after the article of the constitution of 18 October 1991, which is connected with the State Independence of Azerbaijan. These two peoples have a lot in common. After Azerbaijan gained its independence in 1991, Turkey was the first country to recognize Azerbaijan on November 9, 1991. After the President of Turkey Turgut Özal visited Azerbaijan on 1-3 May 1992, decisive breakthroughs were made in the field of education and culture, based on cooperation and mutual relations between the two states.
