Abstract (EN)
Today's societies are in relation with animals in various aspects; industrial farming, scientific research in particular. Billions of animals are used by men. Whether their welfare and rights exist is a controversy on moral level. Legal systems also regulate the relations between men and animals in differing ways. This work aims to ground animal welfare and animal rights in philosophical theory; to present the reflection of these concepts in law as animal law; and to provide reform proposals for animal law in Turkey.
