Abstract (EN)

Throughout history, mankind has wondered about the future and has resorted to various ways to learn the future. The history of interpreting dreams, which is seen as one of these ways, dates back to ancient times. Mankind generally considered dreams as a sign of the future and cared enough to make it a science. Interpretations of dreams in the context of the tradition of interpreting dreams are among the sources consulted by people from past to present. The first ones that are widely utilized in Islamic literature and first translated into Turkish are Ibn al-Sīrīn's, Imam Nablusī's and Ja'far al-Sādiq's commentaries. It is seen that the tabirname subject to this study reflects the language features of the 18th century, and it is understood from the introduction of the text that the tabirname is a translation of Ibn al-Sīrīn. The tabirname begins with Hâzâ Kitâb-ı Tâʿbirnâme-i Ibn-i Sīrîn Allahu Aʿlem. When the content features are analyzed in accordance with the title, it is seen that the work is a translation of Ibn al-Sīrīn. For this reason, the work is called Hāzā Kitāb-i Tāʿbirnāme-i Ibn-i Sīrīn Allahu Aʿlem. The autograph of the tabirnamah titled Hāzā Kitāb-ı Tāʿbirnāme-i Ibn-i Sīrīn Allahu Aʿlem is unknown. The work consists of 53 folios and 52 chapters. Each chapter contains dream interpretations on different subjects. In this study; the language features of the tabirnam were analyzed, a translation was made, a dictionary based on the selection was prepared, and a facsimile of the work was added at the end of the study.
