Abstract (EN)

Tercüme-i Tafsîr-i Hâzin, which is the Turkish translation of Hâzin el-Bağdâdî's interpretation of the Qur'an called Lübâbü't-Te'vil fî Me'âni't-Tenzil, XIX. It is a work written at the beginning of the century. The author of the work is a Naqshbandi sheikh named Ebu't-Tevfîk es-Sayyid Sheikh İbrahim Sırrî. As it is known, XV. century, Lübâbü't-Te'vil fî Me'âni't-Tenzil was translated by Musa b. Hacı Hüseyin el-İznikî into Turkish under the name of Tefsîri'l-Lübâb. Tercüme-i Tafsîr-i Hâzin was suppos to a copy of Tafsîri'l-Lubâb, and was mistakenly recorded on the manuscript catalog of the Süleymaniye Library as the name of Musa b. Hacı Hüseyin al-İznikî. However, Tercüme-i Tafsîr-i Hâzin is the only copy, and the fact that Sheikh İbrahim's name is clearly mentioned as the translator on page 1a of the work and the translator's statement on page 2a that the translator translated this work from his own language shows that the work belongs to Sheikh İbrahim. İsmail Taş, who has a doctoral study on Tafsîri'l-Lubâb, determined that Tercüme-i Hâzin is not one of the copies of this work during the determination of the copies of Tafsîri'l-Lubâb. In our study, Tercüme-i Hâzin was examined and this determination made by Taş in her doctoral study was clarified by proving it. In addition, the leaves 1a-61b between first of volume's Tercüme-i Tafsîr-i Hâzin was transcribed. The Arabic parts in the work have been translated, the cited sources have been identified and shown in the footnotes. By making comparisons with the source text, it has been tried to reveal what kind of translation this work is and what it contains.
