Abstract (EN)
In our study, it is aimed to determine the tendency of physicians working in the university and education research hospital to the burnout levels, defective medical practices and the tendencies of positive and negative defensive medicine in the health system and to determine the problem areas and to develop solution suggestions. 592 physicians who agreed to participate in the study were administered a questionnaire consisting of Demographic Data Form and Maslach Burnout Scale, Medical Application Error Data Form and Positive and Negative Defensive Medicine Data Form. Statistical analysis was done by SPSS 21.0 (Statistical Program Social Sciences) package program. In our study; young and with little professional experience, working in education research hospital, internal and surgical sciences, having more than weekly working hours, keeping watch, choosing the current specialization according to TUS score, not satisfied with the working conditions, who choose to work in areas of less risk, who have been working with less risky patients, who now think about leaving the profession, leaving the profession or early retirement are more exhausted and more defensive. As a result; implement the necessary measures to remedy the defects; both increase job satisfaction and decrease burnout in physicians, and reducing the fear of medical malpractice lawsuits or made defensive medicine practices will improve the quality of service provided to patients.
