These structures, which were important in every period, over time more developed and they were built in every civilization with intercultural interaction. The contents of whiting materials such as tablets, parchments and papyrus etc., unearthed in libraries and archives, were generally trade, politics, religion and literature. The Hellenistic and Roman archives and libraries of Asia Minor were analyzed according to their types, architectural features and location. However, since most of the library and archives belonging to the Hellenistic and Roman Periods in Asia Minor do not reach to the present day, the libraries and archives which are not architectural remains have known as much as the information transmitted by ancient sources.
