Preparation the web based communication program for nurses and evaluation usage of this program

This study made up for nurses at Akdeniz University Hospital to build a web site giving information about patient-nurse relationships, communication techniques and interference in mostly seen patient conditions which prevents the communication, to evaluate the activity and availability of this site as an identifier. The research made up by nurses at the hospital. Data collected in three phases including determination of existing status and necessaries (n=202), evaluation of usability (n=10) and evalution of activity.In evaluation of data, SPSS-11 package program, descriptive statistics connecting with parameters and correlation and chi-square test are used. The average of nurses joins the research is 28.83±5.1 %5 of nurses are men, % 45 are married, a huge amount of them (%76.2) are graduated. %82.7 of nurses working time is between 1-10 year. %36.1 of nurses work in internal medicine, %86.1 are staff nurse.Almost whole nurses (%94.6) uses internet for searching professional issues, want to update their knowledge (%90.1), have difficulty in access to data because of time-bound (%81.1) and lack of available platform (%62.1), want to have a web based education (%64.4). However, nurses define the level of communication with their patients as ?very good?, have difficulty in communication with patients which are anxious (%55), constantly demand something (%52), proneness to sexuality (%37.1), want to build up social relationship (%28.2), state that they want to benefit from a web site which web based prepared about ?Nurse-Patient Relationships?. In the direction of datas came from nurses, this web site built, and the score of usability spotted as 90±11.6. 110 nurses signed in a member of this site. These members stated that they benefit from the web site but thet prefer to add forum pages for dicsussing with their colleaques and some specialist nurses.Nurses as a professional group, extremely having time problems. Fort his reason it is suggesting that generalizing web based education, enhancing the studies related how to be located in continuing education and transfering the results to practice.
