Abstract (EN)

The Effect of Colleague Solıdarıty on Organızatıonal Clımate Among the Nurses Objective: This research was carried out by cross-sectional, descriptive and relational way, in order to examine the effect of colleague solidarity on organizational climate among the nurses. Materials and methods: This study was performed on 333 nurses who accepted to join this research and worked in Karadeniz Technical University Farabi Hospital between February 2014 - September 2014. Data of the study was collected by using Personal Information Form, Colleague Solidarity Scale for Nurses, Organizational Climate Scale. Before collecting data, the permit of researchers who explored the scales used in this study, the ethics committee approval and the institutional permit were obtained. The collecteddatas were computerized and to evaluate the collected datas; Cronbach's α coefficient, frequency and percentage distribution, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, simple linear regression analysis were used. Results: The organizational climate perceptions of the institution which the nurses work were detected as intermediate level. At lower levels, organizational climate perceptions had teamworks and bureaucratic structure at intermediate level, at stress level was on average, communication level was below the average were evaluted. This study showed that the nurses perceived at higher level on colleague solidarity among themselves, the levels of negative thought about solidarity were low, and most of them were in emotional solidarity. There was identifieda relationship between the colleague solidarity nurses and the organizational climate. Conclusion: We have determined that colleague solidarity is effective on organizational commitment, teamwork, supportive climate, stress, negative interaction, human relations, job satisfaction, hierarchy, communicative and innovative climate; among organizational climate dimensions.
