The effect of nurses 'professional attitude on collabarati̇on between nurses

This study was conducted to determine the effect of nurses' professional professional attitudes on collaboration between nurses. The population of this descriptive and cross-sectional consisted of all nurses (n = 1020) working in Kayseri City Hospital. The sample consisted of nurses working actively in this hospital and agreeing to participate in the study (n = 409). Ethical permission for the study was obtained from Kırıkkale University Non-Interventional Research Ethics Committee in January 2019. As a data collection tool in research; Socio-demographic characteristics form containing personal data, "Nurse-Nurse Collaboration Scale" adapted into Turkish by Çelik Durmuş (2016), "Occupational Professional Attitude Inventory" prepared by Erbil and Bakır (2006) were used. The data obtained from this study were analyzed by performing appropriate tests in the SPSS 17 program. In the study, the mean score of the Occupational Professional Attitude Inventory was 4,26 ± 0,45 and the Nurse-Nurse Collaboration Scale average score was 2.47 ± 0,72. In the study, the mean collaboration scores of male nurses, emergency and operating room nurses were found to be high. When the professionalism attitude levels of nurses are examined in this study; It is observed that gender, marital status, working year as a nurse and the year spent in the unit did not affect the professionalism attitude levels of the nurses. As a result of the study, it was found that there is a weak positive relationship between nurses' professional attitudes and collaboration between nurses. Key Words: Nurse, Professıonal, Collaboration
