Energy production of hybrid (solar+wind) energy system: Example of Kütahya

Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, energy requirement has increased day by day together wit the increasing industry and population. This leads to the increase of energy production systems and leads, in turn, to the increase of grenhouse emission and climate changes. That?s why the requirement of renewable energy sources has increased the importance of those because of its almost zero emission. Turkey has a big potential of renewable sources. In addition to its huge use in all over the world when we take the geographic location of Turkey into account, the most remarkable renewable energy sources may be defined as wind and solar energy.In this study, energy which was produced as independent network and grid connected hybrid energy system consisting of wind and solar power teorically calculated in Kütahya Dumlupınar University Campüs area. In this region, the measurements related with wind and solar potential have been made before. Those have been released and used the data obtained from those in this study. Hybrid energy system scenarios consisting of using wind turbines produced by the various wind turbine manufacturers and solar panels were divided into two parts including total of 16 scenarios;10 of which installed capasity between 1- 10 kW are independent network, 6 of which installed capacity between 15-45 kW are onnected to the network and energy production of all systems scenarios was reseached. Inverter, charge regulator, battary, wind turbine and solar panel which are the components of the system to be utilized were decided by taking into account the installed capacity, elektric power generation, system structure and cost of system of hybrid energy systems. It is took into account that solar panels have been positioned in a way to be obtained from maximum energy production of each month. When we consider the annual average solar radiation coming to the panel surface, ıt is the most appropriate position that solar panels have been located towards the South direction and in a way to be 30 degree incline. Energy production of wind and solar energy of annual and monthly and cost analysis have been calculated by using Microsoft Excel Program.PVC (Present value cost) analysis has been calculated for various PWF (Present Worth Factor). PWF is considerable for describing the PVC during the lifetime of the htbrid energy system and for working more factual cost analysis out. As result of, PWF has been calculated not only using ın today?s interest and inflation rate but also using various of interest and inflation rate.
