Indian philosophy and its effects on J. Krishnamurti's view

India is one of the oldest known civilizations with its history dating back to 4000 BC. As anticipated, this civilization has been in interaction with many other civilizations due to the geography it is located. Therefore, it has been the source of many philosophies and cultures that have survived up to the present. It should be said that those who are involved in migration activities on this geography are affected by the Indian culture and consequently the philosophy. In addition, Indian philosophy and belief styles still maintain their influence up to date. Especially Western scientists focused more on these issues and made them a systematic research topic. The study aims to research Indian philosophy and reveal its main themes in terms of its subject. First, the History of Indian Philosophy was researched, and it was examined starting from the Vedas period to the establishment of philosophy schools. Afterwards, information is given on the subjects that form the basis of Indian philosophy. In addition, the life and philosophical teachings of Jiddu Krishnamurti, a speaker, writer and philosopher who grew up in Indian culture, are emphasized. Some concepts that are considered important in the works of Jiddu Krishnamurti have been examined. These concepts are knowledge, mind, god, love and time. It is seen that the philosopher, who was chosen as a " teacher of the world " by the Theosophical Society, was influenced by Indian philosophy in some areas and put forward his own views on some issues. In addition, the characteristics of Indian philosophy were given and it was examined whether it interacted with them. Jiddu Krishnamurti is a sage who has built his life entirely on the effort to understand himself. According to the philosopher, who defined it as "a country with no paths to the truth", he said that life should be investigated with a calm mind, and only then can the individual find the truth.
