Özet (EN)

New Religious Movements are communities that emerged, particularly in the modern era, and developed belief systems and practices distinct from traditional religions. These movements have taken shape with the aim of responding to individuals' spiritual quests and creating alternative spiritual identities within social structures. The emergence of New Religious Movements is linked to both the sociological transformations of societies and the historical development processes of religions. It is also noteworthy that in some of these movements, women have taken on more active and visible leadership roles, and gender has become a defining factor. Brahma Kumaris stands out as one of the New Religious Movements originating from Hinduism. Founded in India in the early 20th century, this movement offers a belief system based on spiritual development, meditation, and moral discipline. Brahma Kumaris embraces fundamental concepts such as the understanding of God, reincarnation, karma, and spiritual salvation with interpretations that differ from Hinduism. The movement also carries out various activities in the fields of education, the environment, and personal development. Today, Brahma Kumaris is active internationally and is a movement that aims to contribute to the inner transformation of the individual and to social peace.
