Reflections of hyperrealism on ceramic art

Hyperrealism, which is one of the most important art movements of the 20th century, emerged in America and spread towards Europe. This movement has been called super realism and photo-realism while its name is hyperrealism in French terminology. Hyperrealism is defined as extremely realistic expression of figures and objects in various fields of art. In the 1960s, the Pop Art movement that followed the abstract expressionism movement born in United States shows its effect. In the late 1960s, with the Pop Art movement, hyperrealism was born. Realism, which has never lost its influence throughout the history of art, eventually took its place in the art movements with a new identity under the name of real hyperrealism sonunda. This movement started with the reflections in the art of painting under the name of photorealism and then began to take place in other plastic art branches such as sculpture and ceramics. The art of hyperrealism is known as Trompe L'oeil, a French word for ceramics, painting and sculpture. Trompe L'oeil, deception with the eye, is defined as the art of illusion in a kind of perception. Trompe l'oeil; at first glance, the viewer thinks that the image is what he represents. Trompe l'oeil, an impressive art of deception; It is an understanding of art that aims to give the impression of reality in the form without aiming at the content of art. Trompe l'oeil; It has art criteria and characteristics similar to hyperrealism. However, it differs from other art movements in which ceramic material exhibits similar characteristics in terms of expressing its unique technical knowledge and advantages. The first examples of this movement emerged in the same period with the pop art movement in the United States to reflect the same reality began to produce ceramic forms. The art of ceramics, with Trompe l' oeil, has displayed an innovative attitude that has continued to the present day and has become more widespread day by day with a new language of expression both formally and technically. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of hyperrealism on contemporary ceramic art in the context of Trompe l'oeil.
