Abstract (EN)

It is important to explain the marriages between the neighboring countries and vassal kingdoms in the Hittite Kingdom, and to enable us to understand the period in question. While explaining our subject, firstly the subject was tried to be examined by looking at the documents of the Hittites and the documents of the contemporary kingdoms. In addition to the philological data, archaeological data is one of the mainstays of our study. In our study, the phenomenon of women in the Hittite Empire was taken in every aspect and the status of the woman in the Hittite royal family and the status of women in Hittite society were examined with the Hittite laws. With this study, the socio-cultural situation of the princesses who have marriages are revealed. The diplomatic marriages made in the ancient period brought greater successes and long-term peace than the wars, and thus the most important source of our work was the diplomatic agreements and political correspondences. The marriages of the Hittite Kingdom with the vassal kingdoms and the realms of the modern kingdoms are gathered under different topics.
