Prof. Dr. Rıdvan SAY2007, 66 pagesIn this study, hyaluronic asid (HA) was produced from Streptococcus equispp. by using the fermantation technique and then produced supernatant?s HAcontent was determined by Reflectometry Interferance Spectroscopy. For thepurification of produced HA, D-glucuronic acid imprinted polymers, which arehigly selective for HA and cooperative with biological systems, were synthesizedand characterized. For HA separation, the efficiency of D-glucuronic acidimprinted polymers was determined with the adsorption studies of HA solutions. For this purpose, the relation between the time of equilibrium- adsorption and thecapacity of concentration- adsorption was declared and the D-glucuronic asidimprinted synthetic receptor?s selectivity to the HA molecule was clarified withScatchard analysis. In addition, ability of using these synthetic receptors again andagain for HA separation was demonstrated. In the final step of this study, theeffects of HA solution and the nanofiber forms on the wound healing wereinvestigated and discussed. Keywords: Hyaluronic Asid, D-glucuronic Asid, Molecular Imprinted Polymers,Electrospinning, Wound Healing.
