Abstract (EN)

Today, workforce shift programs are being implemented in many production and service centers. These sectors can provide better quality products and/or services to their customers, taking into account their desires and preferences in order to increase their productivity. In this study, a shift scheduling problem in the service sector is discussed. In the problem, the aim is to minimize the total amount of workload of the staff and to provide the requests of the staff. In this multi-purpose problem, by taking into account the needs of staff, a multi-purpose decision model has been developed. A multi-criteria decision-making model has been established to take account of the executives and employees' judgments and the weight of the objective functions has been achieved. Using these obtained weights, the problem is scaled by the Weighted Sum Scalarization (WSS) method. The problem is resolved by scaling with Conic Scalarization (CS) method. When Pareto solutions are compared, it is seen that more Pareto solution is obtained with CS method. Additionally, better charts have been obtained in a very short time in terms of the quality of the solution according to the manually prepared chart.
