An empirical study for the specification of elements that are effective in forming of servant leadership

The purpose of this study is to examine the applicability of understanding of servant leadership at public institute and utilities at which vertical hierarchy is implemented. In this respect the content of this study will be consist of handling a cognitive approach about the vitalism of why servant leadership behaviour ought to be preferred by leaders and evaluation of this subject on servant leadership scale (SLS) extend. The data used within the scope of research is acquired via survey method that 106 people among the workers of a hierarchical public institute participated. The extents of servant leadership mentioned in the research are stated as moral integrity, being equal, interpersonal support, building community and self sacrifice. The survey data is evaluated in the light of these extents. As a result of correlation analysis we applied, there is correlation among all the servant leadership specialities of the variables and there is very strong positive relationship between all variables and servant leadership specialities.
