Abstract (EN)

This research focuses on the analysis of Mad Max, which is a transmedia production consisting of a video game and a Hollywood film. Participants were asked to evaluate both the video game and the film while answering specific questions. Participants were required to experience both the film and the video game as part of the research. Based on the observations and responses, eleven subcategories were created, and participants were categorized accordingly. The factors determining the participants' usage and satisfaction levels were analyzed. Subsequently, the evaluation and results of the research were compiled. The participants' general opinion revolved around their expectations and consistency. The success and failures of adaptations were discussed, aiming to determine the significance of adaptations in the eyes of users. Suggestions for future studies were presented based on the examples of adaptations provided by the participants. In general, it is expected that adaptation works establish consistent references with their originals. Regarding future studies, recommendations were made for defining, evaluating, and researching video games. The criteria for user satisfaction and expectations should be identified based on successful video game and film adaptations. These criteria should be considered in future projects.
