Abstract (EN)

The research is made to obtain alumina powder having undermicrone particle size by means of homogeneous precipitation method fromaliminium sulphate salt using urea. After aliminium sulphate and urea is dissolved in water respectively,85 and 92ºC is reached and waited for 3 hours to complete theprecipitation process. In homogeneous precipitation process which isperformed at room temperature, enzyme urease is added and waited for24 hours to complete the precipitation. The photographs of the obtained powder were taken by usingScanning Electron Microscope. The powder is calsined at 1200 ºC . Againthe photographs of calsined powder at 1200 ºC were taken and DTA, TG,XRD and Dilatometer analyses were made.At 85 and 92 ºC precipitation occurs but aglomeration of the powderis observed. At room temperature, the powder obtained from the preparedsolution with enzyme urease has under microne particle size. Sphericalform, narrow particle size distribution and contains soft aglomeration isobserved. Comparison of the Dilatometer analyses shows the powderobtained at room temperature naturally is sinterized better. As a result, the quality of alimuna powder is directly dependent onthe production method and the advantages of the enzyme urease at roomtemperature with homogeneous precipitation over the obtained powder at85 and 92 ºC can be seen easily. Keywords: Alumina, Urea, Enzyme Ürease,Particle, HomogeneousPecipitationii
