Abstract (EN)

Following the death of Prophet Muhammad, a new and critical period called "Khulafa-e-Rashideen" started in the history of Islam. The noteworthy characteristics of this period are as follows: those who came to power after the death of the Prophet had close relations with him, the issues the foundations of which were laid during the era of the Prophet developed further, various new issues emerged with the expansion of the territory of the Islamic state, and this period acts as a basis for understanding of the various acts of the subsequent periods. Therefore, although thirty years are a short period of time, many aspects of it should be discussed and examined. Many works have been written about Khulafa-e-Rashideen period by addressing all four caliphs and their individual features as well as the characteristics of the caliphate periods. This study comparatively discusses the issues related to Khulafa-e-Rashideen period in the works on this period compiled in Turkey between 1980 and 2000 by examining them in terms of content, language, style, and use of resources. Keywords: Khulafa-e-Rashideen, Caliph, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali.
