Özet (EN)

The global refugee crisis has intensified in recent years, driven by conflict, persecution, and political instability, resulting in the displacement of millions. The 2015 Syrian and 2022 Ukrainian refugee crises highlight the vulnerability of populations impacted by geopolitical turmoil, underscoring the importance of human security in shaping refugee protection policies. This thesis explores France's response to these crises by comparing its migration policies and practices for Syrian and Ukrainian refugees. Through the lens of human security, the study evaluates how France's approach aligns with humanitarian principles and examines the extent to which it provides equitable support to these refugee groups. This research focuses on France's management of the refugee crisis, emphasizing the need for a more inclusive framework that ensures long-term protection, facilitates integration, and promotes social cohesion through the universal application of human security principles.
