Abstract (EN)

This study is the analysis and transcription of the manuscript numbered ŞR 207/3, which is in the Şevket Rado Manuscripts Library of the Istanbul Research Institute, Department of Ottoman Studies, and the author is Ser-humbaracıyān Kātibi Mustafa Efendi. It is possible to evaluate the manuscript in two parts, ruzmerre and the various notes that follow, and name it all as a journal. The day-dated information, the section we describe as rūzmerre, includes the dates between 11 Muharram 1143 (27 July 1730) and 24 Dhu'l-Qada 1180 (23 April 1767), and lists the historical and social events based in Istanbul (vr. 31b–44a). The second part contains the notes, which were written without following a method, with more fevaid type of information. Especially from the notes here, information about the identity and biography of the author was obtained. Notes about his personal affairs, tried recipes that are frequently found in fevaid mecmuas, are also on the aforementioned leaves. With these aspects, the mecmua of Ser-humbaracıyan Katibi Mustafa Efendi gives rare information about the reigns of Mahmud I (1730-1754), Osman III (1754-1757) and Mustafa III (1757-1767, first decade of his reign) in the XVIIIth century, and informs about developments from the military front with an inside view. For the aforementioned dates, ruzmerre is a complete source and is the subject of research for the first time. It also draws attention with the special notes it contains.
