Abstract (EN)

The Hürriyet contains a number of articles which carried evaluations of internal and external politics, economic and social affairs of the Ottoman Empire during the period of June 15, 1868 and 1870. It is seen that the journalist who shows an opposing attitude has an important place in the acquisition of the solution by acting in an attitude supporting the state administration in the Egyptian case. The writer, known as the new Ottomans, has shown an exemplary attitude during his time with his many innovative attitudes and the efforts he has made in the progress of civilization. The first issue of Hürriyet was published on June 29, 1868 and the last issue was on June 22, 1870. The newspaper is run once a week. The volumes to the eighty nineth are published in London and the next volumes are in Geneva. Namık Kemal is of the sovereignty of the journal until the sixty-third volume. Then the journal administration goes to Ziya Pasha. The next writings from that volume came under the sign of Arif. In this study, the volumes between the fifty and one hundred of Hürriyet were transferred in Latin letters and brief assessments were made about the Egyptian issue, French Revolution and nationalism, language issues, information about the New Ottoman Society and Tahriratlar. It can be said that Hürriyet Journal, whose publishing process ended in 1870, was the pioneer of the era and the next innovative movement.
