Place phenomenon ın Hüsn ü Aşk

ABSTRACTMesnevis have a unique place in the classical Ottoman poetry (Divan poetry). In contrast to eulogies and odes, they focus widely on both action and time and place forms. Places have deeper meanings different from natural narrations because almost all of the mesnevis include more obvious place forms than eulogies and odes. We can determine the characters? and also the artist?s emotional world?s boundaries in this place forms. We have mentioned about different place forms in mesnevis, Sebk-i Hindi and eulogies by intensifying our thesis statement around Hüsn-ü Aşk by Şeyh Galib in the context of human ? place relationship. After that this we emphasized on what is the place concept in the texts based on narration and then the kinds of these texts. Finally we wanted to examine the places and the emotional situations of the characters in these places in the mesnevi we studied, Hüsn-ü Aşk by Şeyh Galib.Key Words: Mesnevi, Şeyh Galib, poetry, poem, couplet, place
