Abstract (EN)

This research deals with one of the most important theological topics that have been intensively investigated and debated among Muslim theologists themselves on a hand and between them and the non-Islâmic sects on another. I tried to restrict the scope of research to the Ash'aris and the Mu'tazilites, especially in the late era represented by two of the most prominent figures of the two schools. They were considered as the most authored and classified scholars in theology, namely Judge Abdul-Jabbar Al-Hamdani Al-Mu'tazili and Fakhruddin Al-Razi Al-Ash'ari. There is no doubt that the two schools of Ash'ari and Mu'tazili were established exceptionally thanks to the special contributions of both Judge Abd al-Jabbar and Fakhruddin al-Razi . Therefore, we can say that they have brought about a huge transformation and change in the science of Sunni theology, and by their hand, Ash'arism and Mu'taziliism have become closer to the past. This research is an attempt to shed light on the details of goodness and badness, and to access their fine scientific issues via the approaches of Judge Abdul-Jabbar and Fakhruddin al-Razi. This has been done using comparative method comparing the approaches of Judge Abdul-Jabbar and Fakhruddin Al-Razi . Additionally, the present study is designed to explore the issues from their historical and cultural dimensions in the Muslim community, and also to address the dialectic of reason in terms of its relevance to reason and revelation to reach the essence of goodness and badness, and to reveal the truth about each. A comparative approach has been adopted to sketch out the points of agreement and dispute between Al-Razi, the Ash'ari scholar, and Judge Abduljabbar, the Mu'tazili intellectul.
