Abstract (EN)
Since Ibn Qayyim, who is a versatile scholar, has a competent identity in almost every field of Islamic sciences, knowing his views and approaches on fiqh in general and financial transactions in particular is an issue that needs to be studied. The most extensive work of Ibn Qayyim, in which he includes his views on financial transactions, is the work of I`lam al Muwaqqi`in, which we also take as a basis in our study. This research examins Ibn Qayyim's approach to financial transactions in this work. Ibn Qayyim does not deal with every issue related to financial transactions in his work called I`lam al Muwaqqi`in. In the work, he does not examine all aspects of financial transactions. He also gives place to some of the issues he examines with an istitrad (discursive) method. Ibn Qayyim, in his work titled I`lam al Muwaqqi`in, considers financial transactions issues mostly around the concepts of analogy (qıyâs), istihsan, wisdom (hikmah) and hiyal (lawful trick).
