Abstract (EN)
In our country, the life and period of Sahib Giray Khan I, who lived between 1500- 1550, could not be examined in detail due to the insufficiency of Turkic sources, and the studies conducted could not go beyond the repetition of existing Turkish sources. This thesis examines the political, military and social events of Sahib Giray Khan I, who gave the Crimean Khanate, one of the Turkish states established in the ancient Turkic homeland of Crimea, its golden age; in his youth, during his Khanate of Kazan, during the civil war years between Saadet Giray Khan and Islam Giray, during his days in the Ottoman State, and during his period as the Crimean Khanate, with a cause and effect relationship. Turkic, Lithuanian, Polish and Russian sources are used simultaneously in a comparative manner. The region is quite complex and almost all political events are interconnected. Therefore, in order to make the subject easier to understand, the history of the region and the history of the states that existed there are also explained
