Abstract (EN)

In this doctoral thesis, in which we discussed the perception of love both in Ibn Arabi and Paul Tillich, we formed our thesis in three parts. This thesis basically analyzes how the aspects of pre-existent and post-existential love are handled by two thinkers. On this occasion, the pre-existence we call theoretical begins before creation and is closed to human intervention. On the other hand, after the existence, which is called practical, the appearances of love after creation as an act of love are processed. This area was also divided into both theoretical and practical sections, and so the integrity of the thesis was tried to be preserved. The holistic and critical model, which allows us to see the whole, as a model, and the historical criticism method, which allows us to interpret the material we brought from the past, was used as a method. In the introduction, the past aspects of love are briefly mentioned. In the first and second sections, firstly, the conceptual framework is drawn; their life stories, the models and methods they used, and the concepts of love they used were processed and then detailed. In the third chapter, by following the traces of the thinkers who were influenced and influenced by the thinkers, the conclusion was reached by supporting and comparing with the sources from both the east and the west.
