Abstract (EN)
In this study, a comparison of the sirah narrations in the work of Ibn Khallikan, Vefeyâtü'l-A'yân, who lived during the Ayyubids and Mamluks Period, served as regent and qadil-kudat, and also revealed an authority in the field of 'Vefeyât', with respect to the first period sirah sources. In our study Ibn Khallikan's life and some information about Vefeyâtü'l-A'yân are included. Afterwards, we tried to determine the siyer-magâzî information and the lives of the Companions in Vefeyât in order of importance and chronologically. In the last part, we made a overview based on the works of Ibn Ishaq (d. 151), Vâkıdî (d. 207) and Ibn Sa'd (d. 230), who were the authors of the first period sirah sources. Our study aimed to provide us with the opportunity to make important evaluations about the writing understanding of the history-sirah science of the period by determining and centering the siyer-megâzî information, which is seen as remarkable in Ibn Khallikan's work called Vefeyâtü'l-A'yân.
