Abstract (EN)
Ibn Khaldun, who has his own ideas about society and human, was born in Tunisia and travelled many cities on the path of science and politics. The observations he made while traveling through these cities led him to explain the society within the framework of concepts such as "asabiyyah, umran science, bedouin and khazeri Society". Many of Ibn Khaldun's observations about society fall within the scope of sociology. In this study, Ibn Khaldun was evaluated in the context of sociology by considering topics such as asabiyyah theory, Bedouin and khazeri society, state, geography and economics within the framework of Ibn Khaldun's thoughts. This study consists of two sections. In the first section; the life and works of Ibn Khaldun are discussed generally, terms such as Asabiyyah, state, history and geography are discussed conceptually, the science of umran is discussed and seven climatic theories are examined. In the second section; Ibn Khaldun's findings about division of labor, solidarity, history, state and economics are examined considering Ibn Khaldun and his sociological approach. Ibn Khaldun's famous work Mukaddime was used as the main source for the study, but also different sources related to Ibn Khaldun were used.
