Abstract (EN)

Philosophy, which does not perceive the human being as an abstract content focused only on the mind and deals with its physical dimension, felt the need to examine the human being in this direction in every aspect. At this point, it is not correct to perceive philosophy and medicine as two separate scientific fields that are far from each other. However, the existence of the relationship between philosophy and medicine, the studies of ancient Greek and Islamic philosophers, such as Hippocrates, Galen, Avicenna, in the field of medicine are proof. Within the scope of this thesis, the studies of pre-Islamic and post-Islamic philosophers in the field of medicine will be mentioned and this action will be performed in the time of the Prophetic Medicine. In this context, in the light of the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad, the treatment of diseases and the way of being a medicine for them will be discussed. While doing this, Ottoman and Arabic works will be analyzed comparatively and the aim will be to add a new perspective to the philosophy of medicine. While the sourced work Tıbb al Nabawi which belongs to Hüseyin Remzi, will constitute the basic work in Ottoman language, Ibn Qayyim al- Jawvziyya's al- Tıbb al-Nabawi will form the basic reference part in Arabic.
